Bladder Tanks

Taffys has teamed up with Butyl Products based in UK to provide high quality, flexible fuel, chemical and water storage tanks, better known as bladder tanks.
The flexible storage tanks (bladder tanks) are specially designed for the storage of hydrocarbons, oil, chemical and water products. Bladder tanks offer and entire protection of the stored liquid.

Often referred to as ‘layflat’ or ‘pillow’ tanks. The bladder tanks have been developed especially for the harsh emergency aid, oil and gas, military and remote site environments. There are two specifications, one for economic water storage and the second for heavy duty multi-site storage applications and water transportation.
The tanks can be unrolled and used on any area of flat ground that has been cleared of debris.

Fuel Bladder Tanks

These fuel bladder tanks have been developed especially for the harsh emergency aid environment and are supplied with special outlets, valves and vents to suit use with diesel.
The tanks can be unrolled and used on any area of flat ground that has been cleared of debris.

 General Scope of Supply
• Suitable for ALL climates and industry sectors
• Installed by 2 people in around 15 minutes
• Fast deployed storage for local fuels
• All tanks supplied packed in an ISPM15 heat treated plywood case suitable for export and includes all necessary tools, instruction manual and repair kit
• All tanks can be supplied as kits with low voltage electric fuel transfer pumps, flow meters and pipework
• Special sizes and outlet configurations made to order

Bund Liners
Bund liners are produced in fully fuel resistant materials to act as secondary containment lining. Bund liners are supplied large enough to line a bund to the height of the filled bladder

Bladder Construction
All bladders are supplied with reinforced corner mouldings and with integral tie-down holes

Bladder Fittings
One 2.5” BSP(F) Outlet is fitted to the top centre of the bladder, this is fitted with a mushroom vent or flame tube when filling, or a plug for long term storage.
Two 2” BSP(F) Outlets are fitted to one side of the bladder, one is fitted with a plug and the other is fitted with a 2” V50 butterfly valve giving a 2” BSP(F) outlet.
Larger bladders (60,000 litre +) are fitted with two 4” Top caps with covers.

Groundsheets
Produced approximately 1m larger than the bladder tank dimensions when empty. All groundsheets are fitted with moulded-in edge eyelets for pegging down if required.

Water Bladder Tanks

General Scope of Supply
• 1,000 to 150,000 litre capacity
• Suitable for ALL climates
• Installed by 2 people in approximately 5 to 10 minutes
• Fast deployed storage of drinking water
• All tanks supplied packed in an ISPM15 heat treated plywood case suitable for export, and include all necessary tools, instruction manual, repair kit
• All tanks can be supplied with outlet valves and pipework, or as kits with pumps and tapstands
• Our Bladder tanks are suitable for waste water chemical contamination applications and can be used within a CBRN approved system.

Construction Detail
All bladders are fitted with reinforced corner mouldings with integral tie-down holes and an automatic pressure relief valve set at 1PSI (0.007Nm/m²) to prevent bursting through overfilling.

Static Water Tank Outlets
One 2” BSP(M) reinforced PP moulded outlet with screw cap to one side of tank
One 4” BSP(F) PP moulded outlet with PVC screwed cap and integral pressure relief valve at the top of the tank. Larger bladders (60,000 litre +) are fitted with two 4” Top caps with covers.

Heavy Duty Static and Transport use Water Tank Outlets
Two 2” BSP(F) anodised aluminium screwed outlets installed to one side of the tank.
One 4” BSP(F) anodised aluminium screwed outlet with PP screwed plug incorporating an integral pressure relief valve at the top of the tank. Extra outlets can be provided to suit the tank application.
